Company Introduction

myInterview uses video to encourage candidates to express their true personality, experience, and qualifications and lets hiring managers identify the best hire while enjoying every minute. Sharing your impressions and getting feedback from colleagues is as easy as pressing play.

Get to know your candidate with more than words. The way we hire talent is fundamentally shifting, and myInterview rethinks the archaic recruitment process to make it more efficient, reduce the time to hire, and help you choose the right candidates.

Motivation

Currently, all users under the same account have access with their account permissions to all jobs created by the account. Allowing access to specific jobs by only relevant users will make the recurring process more efficient.

In addition, expanding the options for the super administrator to control users’ permissions will provide customers more flexibility to work with our system.

User Persona

Sarah Thompson is an experienced talent acquisition manager working for Whataburger, a fast-food chain with multiple branches and districts. She is responsible for managing the recruitment process for various positions across different locations. Sarah understands the importance of efficient and streamlined processes to ensure the right candidates are hired for each branch.

Sarah Thompson

Talent Acquisition Manager, 35 y/o, Whataburger

"I want to ensure that my team can focus on hiring the right candidates for each branch/district. Granting access to specific jobs and enabling candidate invitation features will significantly improve our efficiency and enhance our recruitment efforts."

Motivation and Goals:

Sarah’s primary motivation is to improve the efficiency of the recurring recruitment process. She wants to allow access to specific jobs for relevant users within her team, ensuring that each user can review and manage jobs related to their specific branch/district. Sarah believes that granting access based on job relevance will enhance productivity and help in making better hiring decisions.

Challenges:

  1.  Ensuring that only relevant users have access to specific jobs within the system.
  2. Providing flexibility to the super administrator to control user permissions.
  3. Allowing users to invite candidates for interviews directly from the system.

Goals and Use Cases:

  1. Job Creation: Sarah, as an administrator with elevated permissions, is responsible for creating jobs within the system. She wants to create jobs for different branches/districts of Whataburger, maintaining their uniqueness while avoiding duplication.
  2. Access Control: Sarah wants to ensure that users within her team can only view and manage jobs that are relevant to their branch/district. This access restriction will allow for focused recruitment efforts and avoid confusion.
  3. Candidate Invitation: Since Sarah’s team is involved in the recruiting process, she wants to grant them the option to invite candidates for interviews directly from the system. This feature will streamline communication and make the hiring process more efficient.

The goal was to enhance user management, improve security, and provide customers with greater flexibility and control over their video interview workflows. This page allowed the super admin to create, modify, and assign custom roles with specific permissions tailored to the needs of their organization.
